Chrissy sighed as she took a step back from her 'work of art' and realized it wasn't looking exactly how she had imagined it to look. She examined the red roses in a vase a couple of feet away from her. That was what she was suppose to draw but she just couldn't seem to get the essence of it down on paper. She was good at computer art, such as grapchics and web but when it came to painting, she was horrible. All she was good for were a few sketches for preliminary work for her graphic designs.
Anyway, she was stuck in here now, during her after school trying to make this up. She had been pushing it off and now it was due in a couple of days. She put the tip of her paint brush to her chin, a habit of hers when she was in thought, only to feel a cool wetness hit her chin then run down her neck. "Oh man!" was her first reaction as she tossed the paintbrush aside. She quickly grabbed for some paper towel as she wiped away the pink water paint. She looked around to see if there were any mirrors around but to her luck, there weren't. So, she cleaned up as much as she could and returned to her painting. "Are you serious?!" she said exasperated. In all the excitement with her little accident, she didn't think to be a little more careful. When she had tossed her paintbrush aside, it had hit her painting and left a large splotch of red on it and some other splatters from the impact. She picked up the paintbrush that was on the floor then returned to the painting, looking at it with disappointment. Did she have to start all over again?

Today was an odd day for Colbie. After school she usally had something to do, somewhere to go. But today, for some odd reason, everything was cancled, and she had nowhere to go with anyone. Sighing as she tugged up on her dark skinny jeans, she then looked into her locker mirror she fixed her bangs and pulled out her messenger bag, and slammed the locker closed. Walking down the hallway, Colbie figured that she would go to the art studio. It wasen't that far off campus, and she felt like drawing on this odd day.
Upon arriving, Colbie didn't automaticaly notice anyone she knew. Walking over to an empty table, she threw her bag down and pulled out her sketch book, and her pencil case, and contuned on a photo that she had already started. Just as she was finising her photo she heard someone who was freaking out. When she looked up and saw Chrissy throwing a paint brush. Colbie laughed to herself. She got up, leaving her stuff at the table, and walked over to Chrissy. She placed her hand on Chirssy's shoulder, "Everything alright, darling?"

(( I'm so sorry that took so long to reply back. I've just been really busy with homework and trying to build up a portfolio. I hope the post is alright. :] ))
"Maybe I can just make another flower" She thought to herself as she looked at the splotch on her painting. "A very random flower in the corner" She tilted her head to the side to see if she could imagine it evolve into something she could fix up without making it look like an obvious mistake. "Or maybe I should just pay someone to do this for me..." she thought wishfully.
She was so entranced with trying to solve her mistake that she didn't even realize she was joined by a fellow schoolmate, Colbie. "Good grief!" She exclaimed as she clutched her chest. "Colbie! You scared the living tarnations out of me. What are you trying to do? Give me a heart attack?" she asked as she caught her breath. At least it was only Colbie that caught her this way. If it were anyone else, she'd be too embarrassed. She smiled once she composed herself. "Sorry, a bit jumpy there," she laughed.
She looked down, curious as to what was cold against her chest. She let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. The paint brush in her hand was now against her chest. The wet brush soaking into her shirt. "Oh man, what's gotten into me," she exasperated. "First my painting and now my shirt," she said talking at Colbie but at the same time just talking to herself. "I'm just a mess." Setting her brush down before she did anymore damage to herself or anyone else, she turned to Colbie. "What are you doing here anyway?" she asked curiously as she grabbed a paper towel and started wiping at her shirt.

[eh. thats alright. mine's not the greatest either.]
Colbie laughed at Chrissy's reaction. In a way, Colbie should of known better then to pop up, out of nowhere like that, she would of reacted just the same way. Still laughing, Colbie tried to get words out, "Darling, I'm sorry. And for the record, I wasen't trying to kill you... not yet at least." Colbie put her hand back onto Chrissy's back, because it had fallen off when she had jumped.
Colbie focused her attention to Chrissy's work of, urm, art? What seemed to be a good painting at first now looked like a bunch of splotches on the canvas. "Aw darling. Your not a mess, its just a messsed up day."
"What are you doing here anyway?"
"Huh," Colbie said, looking at Chrissy. It wasen't that she didn't hear her speak, it was just that she had her mind focused on something else. Something that she didn't even know she was focusing on. "Oh. Uh. Cheer was canceled tonight, and I had nowhere else to go, so why not come chill here at the studio? Who knows, there may be a cute guy here," Colbie laughed, now looking for her mentioned cute guy, "And theres none here. But thats alright, because your here!" Colbie laughed, once more, giving her friend a hug.

Chrissy felt a bit embarrassed as she blabbered a mile away, hardly giving Coblie the chance to respond. It was only because Chrissy was all over the place and everything seemed to be going wrong. She looked down at her shirt one last time before throwing away the paper towel. She gave up. It wasn't coming out, and now it would leave a stain. She was only glad that it was this shirt that was stained and not one of her favorites.
She looked up at Colbie as she gazed the room for any cute guys. Her eyes followed Colbie's too, to see if there were any cute guys. Luckily, there weren't otherwise Chrissy would feel really dumb with a rather large stain and a painting with splotches all over it. Eh, she glanced back at the painting, reminded of it. She was going to have to ask for help.
She turned her attention back to Colbie when she mentioned herself. She gave Colbie a smile. "Yay!" she praised herself jokingly. "Well, for one thing, I'm glad there aren't any cute guys here. Just look at me and the painting. But I'm glad that you're here. Maybe you can help me?" she asked Colbie. "You think you can fix my mess?" pointing to her painting.
