Jon chewed his lip slightly. He had only moved into WCA that day, so he wasn't really sure what went on around here yet. But nonetheless, he had ended up in the student lounge, which seemed to be the "happenin'" place du jour. And certainly it was. Students came and went, stopping and chatting with friends along the way.
And then there was Jon. All by himself. Poor boy. He was moping, and he knew it. He couldn't help it if all he wanted was to go straight back to Pittsburgh on the next train. Pitt was all he knew. He sighed distractedly from his place on the over sized leather chair in the corner.
His brown eyes flickered from student to student for a bit, wondering who all they were. It wasn't uncommon. Jon loved to people-watch. People gave away secrets they never knew they had in their body language. For instance, that boy over there? Well, you could tell he was nervous about something, from the way he kept glancing around at everything and nothing. But Jon made it a point to make sure no one could read what he didn't want them to read. He liked to be the one calling the shots.
Jon nestled himself deeper into the smooth leather chair. It was quite comfortable to say the least. He glanced around once more before plucking a magazine out of the monogrammed book bag at his feet. The Hockey News emblazoned the cover, along with a picture of Jon's favorite hockey player, Evgeni Malkin. The dark haired youth browsed through the magazine, not really reading it.

Macy Anne Linden sat outside reading a book. This week it was The Other Boleyn girl. Her plan was to finish reading it by the weekend, she still had a good 2 hundred pages left. And now she could barely feel her toes. It was time to go in unless she wanted to freeze to death. Freezing to death wasn't in her plans atleast not now. If she was ever going to freeze to death, it was going to be by climbing mount everest.
Now her plan was to head into the student lounge, get a hot chocolate and read a little. She closed the book and got up. Macy walked into the grounded room and went to the small kitchen are. After she finished her hot chocolate preparations she went to sit on one of the plush couches. This day her plan was to relax. She had no ballet or cheerleading. It was a real after noon off.
She got along with most people, Macy wasn't the one to judge. She usually just tried to be a least nice to everyone, even if the person was a major witch. She had been at WCA since freshman year. At the beginning she didn't want to go but her twin brother had begged there mother. Now here she was loving it.
Macy looked up from her back and noticed someone she had never seen. For some odd reason she recognized people easily. She always makes the effort to atleast say hi to people passing by her. People though she was crazy but she didn't care. "Hi, I'm Macy" She said walking up to the boy with a smile. Everyday was new and she tried to make the best of it.
(The beginning is sucky but my other posts will be better)

Jon sighed as he scanned through the article about Malkin. He had already read it about five times. Call him obsessed, he didnt care. He just loved his hockey. It was what he did. He remembered that old quote, "Be who you are, and be that well". Well, Jon was a hockey player and he was a good one, if he did say so himself.
Jon became absorbed into an article finally. He usually skimmed over the "self-help" articles, but he was bored. And he figured it couldn't hurt. After all, it wasn't like he was playing yet. Heck, he wasn't sure if WCA even had a hockey team yet. "Hi. I'm Macy". A female voice jerked him from an article on how to "perfect your wrist shot". It was a decent article. His gaze drifted over the girl for a moment, his patented slow smile threatening to take over his face. Woah, Jonny boy. Let's be nice first. Hey, I'm Jon. I'm new here. Hmm. Can we be any more obvious?
((its ok. I have no idea where my muse went for that post, sorry))
