It was days like this Colbie hated. The days when she had to drag both her overpacked school bag, and her stuffed cheerleading bag. It was hard enough lugging the bags out of her dorm room, but all the way to the main school was a challange in its self. This time atleaset, before leaving her dorm, she remembered to put on her leather jacket before she left. "Macy, I'm out. Remember cheer tonight!" Colbie called out to her roommate just before closing the door. Yes, she may of been earlier than normal, but she had to lug those bags to school, and then shove them into her locker somehow.
Finaly, what seemed like ten minutes later to Colbie, she arrived on the campus of the main school. Letting out a sigh, Colbie looked at the school through her avaitor sunglasses[see pic linked jacket]. She stood there for just a moment to watch all the freshman rush into the school. She remembered back two years, and how your outlook on the day was much more optimistic. Forgetting this outlook on school, Colbie began walking into the school, and headed towards her locker.
Just as the locker came into sight, Colbie's pace began to quicken up, which probley wasen't the greatest idea. All but 5 lockers away, Colbie stumbled, and fell, dropping both her messanger school bag, and sent her stuffed cheer bag into someone else's. "Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry." Colbie said, as she sat in the hallway.

Ah the first day of school. What fun? No. Maybe fun wasnt the right word. And sure, Jon was a few days late for the ACTUAL start of school, but it was his first day nonetheless. He was a walk-on for the hockey team, and had somehow miraculously made captain. Not that he was complaining. What can we say? The guy likes power.
Jon strolled easily into school wearing his grey shirt and jeans. It was one of those trademark Jon Markel outfits(minus the hockey stick). After picking up his schedule in the office, Jon was free to roam the halls to find his locker.
The dark haired boy found his locker easily enough and dialed his combination, getting it correct on his first try. Hey, he even surprises himself sometimes. He glanced at the empty locker before pinning up a single photo of his idol Evgeni Malkin He looked sadly at the picture for a moment, knowing that if he were pack in Pittsburgh, he would be attending the pre-season game tonight. His friends had promised to tell him all about it.
Jon stepped back to put his backpack in, when suddenly a duffel bag flew into his locker. He looked up, surprised as the owner began to apologize. The owner, he realized was a pretty blonde girl sitting in the center of the hallway. Jon grinned as he leaned down to pick up her messenger bag and offered her a hand. Gee. I wish I had that effect on all girls He said, his smile widening. I'm Jon.

Colbie could feel her cheeks become red from embarasment. As she looked at the guy, she luckly didn't reconize him. Although Colbie did have an exclusive group she stuck to, she did reconize peoples faces, and this one wasen't one she had seen before. As the guy offered her out his hand, she took it and stood up, and tugged up on her dark jeans. Colbie couldn't help but laugh at the guys comment about having the effect of girls falling for him, but as Colbie looked him over, she was surprised that not many girls didn't fall for him, "Are you sure girls don't fall for you more often?" She asked playfuly, "And I'm Colbie." She told him, with a smile now on her face.
As she grabbed her messenger bag from Jon, she had realized that she still had her sunglasses on. Taking them off, she shoved them into the front pocket of the bag."Again, I'm real sorry about that. I'm usaly more coordinated than that. I swear. I just, slipped or something," She apolized to the guy once more.
Colbie didn't want to seem un-intrested in him, but she looked around, seeing nobody she hung out with insight, or even her duffle for that matter. Instead, she turned her focus back to Jon. She looked him over once again. He was tall, and muscly. He most likley played some sort of sport, so it wasen't like if she was seen talking to him, she would be putting her rep. in danger.

Jon's gaze swept over the girl as she stood. Of all the people to trip infront of him, this had to be the prettiest. At her words, Jon jerked back to reality. He chuckled for a moment. Well, I can pretend like I dont notice. And it was true. He knew exactly how many girls had plotted to move to NYC the second they had found out he had left Pittsburgh. 15. But he didnt like to be vain about it. After all, the guy has SOME morals.
Jon grinned again as she spoke. My pleasure, Colbie. His face was twisting into the patented Jon Markel grin. It was the same grin that those fifteen girls back in Pittsburgh would have killed to recieve. But Jonny must not be vain. No.
At her second apology, he chuckled again. Yeah. It must be the special wax.. He said jokingly as he scanned the ground for water. Seeing none, he looked back up. Colbie was looking around, but he assumed she was just looking for her friends. He glanced at his locker for a moment before tugging her bag out. So, you're a cheerleader, huh? He asked as he held out her bag.

Colbie couldn't help but laugh at the comment about the floor's special wax, "Are you kidding me. I don't think these floors have been cleaned more than, 5 times since my freshman year." She said, now examining the floor as well. So maybe her comment about the floor only being cleaned five times was a bit off, but they surley weren't cleaned and waxed every single day. Jeeze, not even the floors in her mother's house were cleaned and waxed every single day.
Colbie was about to say something when he flashed his smile, and wow, what a smile it was. Yes, Colbie had probley seen better, but in the longest time. Some of the guys at WCA didn't have the greatest smiles, and as for the califorinian boys, well, they we're too busy making their hair look good to worry about their teeth.
As Jon handed Colbie back her cheer bag, she placed it at her feet, letting the strap go loose. "Yep. I am. And... you're into hockey?" She asked, seeing the photo of a hockey player on his locker door.

Mmm... Jon said in agreement. That's a step up from Central, I think they only wax those floors once a year. He said laughing. And it was true. There was so much crap on those floors, it wasnt surprising. Jon laughed to shake the slightly homesick feeling that unexpectedly crept up on him.
He looked over at Colbie as the girl spoke again. She really was pretty, he mused before he jerked back to reality and spoke. Hmm yeah. You could say that. He said with a grin.
Jon was getting curious. So, now that he was "stuck" in NYC what was there to do? It was an honest question. And besides, if Colbie hadn't figured it out that he was the new kid, she would soon enough.So. What's there to do around here? Jon asked leaning against his locker casually, slipping his thumbs through the loops of his jeans.

"Its kind of disgusting. Its like, they think that we are too stupid to notice the floors are nasty." Colbie said, kind of aggravted. It was like the school board though that they were all to dense to realize that floors were getting a bit dirty, but, in reality, they did notice, expicaly when books, and bags are being tossed on the groud frequently.
Colbie had had this though about Jon since the start of their conversation, but after this last question, she was sure that he was a new kid. "Oh well, theres this soda shop place that the spot, its like its taken right out of the 50s, but its kinda dirty."Colbie didn't understand peoples fixation with Pop's Soda Shop. It was old, and kinda dirty. Yes, it was kinda cool and all, but it just didn't click in Colbie's mind. "And there's obvosley a mall, and then theres Cat Tail, a dance club." Colbie explained these places to Jon, as she took a quick glimpse at her locker, which was very close, all but 5 lockers away. It would seem mean just to walk and open it, so she stayed in place.

Jon laughed at her comment. It was just so.. easy to talk to her, something he hadnt ever really had with a girl. It intrigued him to say the least. He nodded as she explained several places to him. Soda Shop? Thats weird. He thought to himself, but he wasnt about to voice that opinion.
Jon grinned as she brought up a dance club. New York was rumored to have the best dance clubs in the world, save for LA. He saw her glance down the hall again and he spoke, quickly but nothing came out in a rush. I think the bell's probably going to ring any second, but do you want to hit up this dance club one night? He smiled slightly as he waited for her to respond.

When Jon mentioned that the bell was about to ring, Peyton let out a small sigh. Not only did she now have to go to class, she also had to leave her conversation with Jon. A conversation that seemed to flow easily, one that Colbie haden't had in a long time. Bending over to pick up the strap of her cheer bag, she began to talk, "Yeah, I guess so."
Colbie turned and walked to her locker, five to the left of Jon's, something that he probley wasen't expecting. Heck, she wasen't even expecting a cute new guy to move into the locker a few down from her. Shoving both her bags into her locker, and pulling out her pencil case, and books. Quickly, she scribbled something onto a sheet of paper, then slammed the locker door shut. After locking her locker, she walked back towards Jon, "And I'll take you up on that offer for that dance club. Here's how you can get ahold of me," She handed him a sheet of paper with her cell, myspace, and dorm/mailbox number on it. And with a smile, she said "See ya around, Jon," and walked off to her class, as the bell rang.

Jon smiled slightly before watching her walk away. To a locker a few feet from his. Well. This made things interesting. He turned back to his locker, grinning like an idiot for a second before he realized Colbie had come back. Thanks. He took the paper, glancing at it for a moment before tearing off a corner and scribbling his cell number and myspace on it. And for you. He said, handing her the paper.
See you Jon tried to be nonchalant about the whole ordeal before picking up a notebook from his backpack. He headed to class, a slight grin still playing at the corner of his mouth
((ill start the thread at the club))
