Nathan pushed the door of the mall open and stepped inside the crowded building glancing around at the people passing by. He was a bit early, so he didn't expect Gwynne to be here yet, though he looked around for her anyway. Nathan couldn't seem to spot her so he assumed she hadn't arrived yet and walked over to the wall near the entrance. He thought that perhaps he and Gwynne should have arranged somewhere to meet since it was such a large building with many entrances and exits. But it was too late now, he'd just have to hope Gwynne would come in through that door.
Nathan put his hands in his pockets like he usually did and waited for his friend to enter the building. He looking at the tiled floor, glancing up when he saw someone had came through the door. Nathan was a patient person, which was good since it was possible Gwynne could be running late.

Gwynne parked her parents' black Santa Fe and stepped out, making sure to lock the door. She didn't want anyone stealing the car, after all. Casually, she strolled towards the mall, wearing a blue tank top with lace borders, a black hoodie with blue and gray hearts, a pair of dark gray low-rise skinny jeans and her hippie patterned Chucks. In her straightened hair she had put a blue headband that matched the other blue she had on.
Reaching one of the entrances to the mall, she strode in, lazily pushing the handicap wheelchair button so the door swung inwards for her. Once inside, Gwynne took a brief look around. She had walked through the entrance closest to the food court. She checked the time on her cell phone, having left her watch at home. It was nearly noon.
Turning around to see if Nathan happened to be waiting, she spotted the mall map station thing. She walked over to it and peered at the different shops and stores the mall had. She hadn't come here that often, and so hadn't learned all of the building's secrets, as she liked to call them.
Glancing briefly over her shoulder, Gwynne spotted Nathan leaning against the wall. She did a double take and then smiled. She walked over to him and said, "Hey there mister. Having fun?"

Nathan heard a familiar voice and looked up seeing Gwynne. He smiled, he hadn't been paying attention to the time so he wasn't exactly sure when to expect Gwynne there, but he was happy to see that she had come earlier rather than later. Nathan wondered how he had missed her come through the door, unless of course she'd come in through a different entrance, which seemed quite likely. He had always been a bit unlucky with picking things by chance, like which door Gwynne would enter through, but that didn't really matter now.
"Oh yes, very." Nathan answered with light sarcasm and pushed himself away from the wall. "And how are you today?" He asked, smiling.

Gwynne grinned and watched him push himself from the wall. She was glad she didn't have to search the entire mall for Nathan. Though it would have been funny if she could have found him in Claire's or something. She put her fingers, seeing as her whole hands wouldn't fit, into her pockets and turned so she could see both the food court and Nathan.
"Absolutely fabulous," she said, nodding. "And thou?"

Nathan nodded at he answer. 'Absolutely fabulous' was quite a reply, but then again, Gwynne always seemed to have enthusiastic moods. Like the other day when she was 'fantabulous'.
"I'm good." Nathan answered, that's what he always said, even if it wasn't true. No one enjoyed listening to how horrible his mood was. But in this case his description was true, even if it wasn't proper grammar.
He glanced around at the many people passing by, briefly wondering how long Gwynne had been looking for him. It was a good thing he had stayed in one spot and not searched around the building for Gwynne or they might have never found each other. "Was I easy to find?" Nathan asked, raising an eyebrow.

Gwynne pointed to the doors beside the food court, indicating that that was where she came in. When she had been walking, the mall map had actually blocked Nathan from her view, so it had been luck that she walked over and saw him.
"I didn't see you straightaway," she admitted. "Next time wave a pink and green polkadot sign."
She grinned and stepped to the side, turning to face forward. She took a few paces then looked over her shoulder at Nathan. "C'mon!"

Nathan's gaze turned to where Gwynne was pointed. She had come through a different door, he was right. But he was glad that it wasn't all that far away so she didn't have to walk a long distance to find him. He grinned at her sign suggestion. That might work, if he was willing to do it.
Nathan watched Gwynne take a few steps forward, and at her 'C'mon!' he smiled and followed her, wondering where exactly she was leading him. He hadn't brought any money on purpose. The only thing he'd ever bought at the mall was clothing, and he didn't need any more currently. So if Gwynne was planning on going shopping with him, she'd just have to drag him around from store to store.

As she walked, Gwynne looked from shop to shop. She hadn't brought much money, but she enjoyed looking inside the stores. That way if she ever came back she'd know where to get the good stuff. Her eyes passed over a brightly lit sign in pink, curly letters. La Senza. Her face took on an enthusiastically sarcastic look as she lifted her arm and pointed at the shop.
"Let's go in there!" she grinned at Nathan. "I'm sure you could use a couple bras." She put her pointing hand to her lips, stifling a giggle.
A mental image of Nathan in a bra made her pause to double over, her hair cascading to hide her face. A moment or two later she straightened, her face a bit red from the hidden laugh attack. Gwynne turned to Nathan, eyes alight with laughter.
"Sorry, disturbing mental images." She quickly clapped her hand back over her mouth to stop about bout.

Nathan was led by Gwynne along the lengthly row of stores, none of them he was interested in. He didn't really bother to pay attention to what stores Gwynne had been peeking in, until she stopped walking. Nathan turned to look at the store Gwynne was pointing at a blinked. He could tell by Gwynne's giggling that she wasn't completely serious, but he wasn't sure if she was going to pull him in there and attempt to get him to help her pick out underwear. He held in a laugh and turned back to Gwynne.
"Let's..not." Nathan said, trying to keep his amused smile to a minimum. He'd rather skip being seem in a woman's lingerie store with Gwynne. Even if she was joking, he knew that she wouldn't hesitate to bring him in there for his own embarrassment.

Gwynne raised an eyebrow at him, stilling smiling widely. She considered pulling him in, but then it'd seem like she was going to maul him in a change room or something. No, she'd plan that later. Maybe. She continued on her stroll, chin held high and peering about like she was the queen herself. Nothing she currently saw was of complete interest. Then she halted again in her tracks and pointed excitedly to a fresh sign hanging over a store window.
50% off sale!
Gwynne nearly whooped for joy. "Let's go inside," she said, grabbing Nathan's arm and dragging him into the store. Once inside she gazed at the racks of shoes lit up by a soft white light from behind. Her cheeks went rosy from excitement as she ran to the nearest shelf of Chucks. "Oh. My. God."

Nathan walked with her away from the store until she stopped again. He turned to look at the sign Gwynne was pointing enthusiastically at the sign in the window and blinked. Before he had a chance to respond Gwynne had already grabbed his arm and began to pull him into the store. Nathan wasn't really paying attention to what store it was that Gwynne seemed to be so excited about, so he wasn't sure what to expect inside. After he was pulled through the entrance and released he glanced around at the shelves filled with shoes. Nathan wasn't surprised, many girls seemed to be obsessed with shoes, as far as he knew anyway. His gaze followed Gwynne was she ran over to the shelf then slowly followed her.
"Shoes. Amazing." Nathan said in a lightly sarcastic voice and smiled.

Gwynne rolled her eyes at Nathan as her eyes scanned the shelves. She absolutely was in love with Chucks, Converse, All-stars.. whatever you wanted to call them! The colours and the style just turned her on. Not sexually of course. She paused by a particular shoe that caught her eye. It was colourful, with bumblebees and rainbows shooting out of random places. There was one spot where the word LOVE was printed there, and a mouth coughing out blue butterflies.
"Oh. My. God," she gasped and Gwynne extended a hand, scooping up the shoe and looking it over with barely contained awe. "I love it."
She rounded on Nathan and held the shoe up. "What do you think?" Gwynne asked, tilting her head to the side. It was good to get another person's opinion, though Nathan's fashion sense seemed a bit more on the dark, black and gray stuff. Gwynne tapped the rubber with her forefinger, a broad grin on her face.

Nathan watched as Gwynne's gaze swept across the shelf of shoes. He had never seen someone so excited about converse in his life, they seemed like something one would take for granted. Something Nathan would at least. He himself had a pair of converse also, but he wasn't obsessed with them, they were just shoes.
As soon as Gwynne said 'Oh.my.god' for the second time Nathan decided to do a mental count of how many times she would say that during their trip. Perhaps she only said it when she was surrounded my shelves of shoes. Nathan looked at the very colourful pair of shoes Gwynne had picked up and blinked. Rainbows and bumblebees definitely weren't things she was particularly fond of, but it was if Nathan would be staring at Gwynne's feet all day, and it wasn't as if he even cared what she wore at all. If she liked them then that was great, she could buy them and be happy. When she asked for his opinion he thought for a short moment then answered.
"Well, they're definitely...shoes." Nathan said, lifting his gaze to her face. His tone wasn't serious obviously, nor was it sarcastic. He wasn't really sure what he thought about the shoes, they were definitely not his taste, so he couldn't judge them fairly.

Gwynne stared at Nathan as he answered. An eyebrow slowly rose up, and the corners of her lips twitched. She knew Nathan probably wasn't a big fan of shoes. Gwynne wasn't exactly either, but Converse were her life. Not literally speaking, of course. She loved their style, the old fashioned sneaker look, with the different colours and patterns. She felt attracted to them like bees to honey.
"Obviously," she replied after a moment of shoe inspection. "I'm going to get them anyway." Gwynne strode to the counter, ringing the little bell there for help and service. A boy with an acne-ridden face swept over and Gwynne stated what she wanted with rapid ease. It seemed like she had done this often enough before, which she had. Gwynne enjoyed shopping, and bossing around the workers like no tomorrow. It was amusing for her.
The teenager returned, holding a box. Gwynne opened it and peeked inside, turning aside some of the tissue paper. Everything seemed in order. She replaced the lid and quickly bought it, without even trying the shoe on. Smoothly, she passed over the cash, put the box in a plastic bag and trotted back to Nathan's side.
"Your turn," she grinned. "Where to, oh Mr Non Shoe Lover?"
