Kimmi walked into the theater and headed for the back to put her things away. She changed out of her clothes into something that was easier to practice in, she was wearing a black tank top, tight black little leggings with purple leg warmers with her black ballet slippers on under them, she then pulled her hair back into a tight messy bun. Kimmi liked to come to the theater to dance and practice because no one was ever in there during 3rd period so she had the place to herself.
She went back onto the stage to start streching. Before starting she set up the stereo to the surrounding speakers and put on some hip-hop music. She first started streching her back, then moved onto her legs. She went over to a ballet bar and started doing some ballet streches. People never think Kimmi is the ballet type, but she has been dancing ballet for 10 years. Before also she did hip-hop, jazz, modern and a few more styles. She then did a few ballet and hip hop moves to loosen up. As she was finishing up those, she then started doing a couple more last minute streches before starting to practice her dance for the dance compition.
Once Kimmi went through her dance a couple time she took a brake and grab her water bottle. As she took a sip she saw a mic stand on the stage, she grabbed the cord and set it up. She thought since she was alone she might as well have some fun, so she got out her electric guitar and got her amp ready. She stepped up to the mic and closed her eyes, when she opened them the room was filled with people from students to parents. She took a deep breath and started the music. As she listened to the intro to the song she started to strum along with her guitar as she she sang along:
Tell me where our time went And if it was time well spent Just don't let me fall asleep Feeling empty again
Cause I fear I might break and I fear I can't take it Tonight I'll lie awake feeling empty
I can feel the pressure It's getting closer now We're better off without you I can feel the pressure It's getting closer now We're better off without you
Now that I'm losing hope And there's nothing else to show For all of the days that we spent Carried away from home
Some things I'll never know And I had to let them go I'm sitting all alone feeling empty
I can feel the pressure It's getting closer now We're better off without you I can feel the pressure It's getting closer now We're better off without you
Without you
Some things I'll never know And I had to let them go Some things I'll never know And I had to let them go I'm sitting all alone feeling empty
I can feel the pressure It's getting closer now We're better off without you
Feel the pressure It's getting closer now You're better off without me
Once she finished she closed her eyes and took another deep breath, she opened her eyes and she was alone agian. She paused for a minute and then turned to put away her guitar.

Having nothing else to do, Irene mindlessly wandered around the school. Somehow, she ended up in front of the theater. The doors looked so inviting, full of mystery, hiding what lies inside. Hearing a familiar tune, Irene pressed her ear against the door to hear where the music was coming from. "...the pressure, It's getting closer now," sang a voice from inside. Irene quietly opened the door and saw a girl wearing what seemed to her like a dance outfit. Irene entered and sat at the back and watched her. When the girl finished and turned around, she clapped slowly as she rose from her seat. "Great performance," she smiled.

Surprised Kimmi quickly look out into the auduence to see who was watching her. She put her hand above her eyes to try and shade them from the stage lights but it did little help to see the stranger. "Thank you?!" She replied blindly as she didn't exacly know to who she was thanking. Keeping her hand by her eyes she strained them to try and see who was out there, she finally gave up on it and hopped down off the stage to get out of the blinding light. She saw in a distance, it was a junior girl from school. Kimmi didn't know her personally but she had seen her in the school yard playing music with a bunch of other people.

"Your welcome!" she replied. Irene walked towards the girl and extended her hand towards. "I'm Irene. You are?" she asked. She examined the girl. With long black hair and a fine layer of eyeliner, she seemed to be one of those scene kids who hung out by themselves. But since she wore a dance outfit, Irene had no idea which "group" she belonged in.
