Nathan froze when he heard what his question was. It had happened, his secrets had popped up in one of Gwynne's questions. Of course they would be included in his past, but they weren't small enough for him to 'accidentally' forget to mention them, all of them were huge milestones in his life. His overall past wasn't so great ethier, and the last thing he wanted was sympathy, if he even could get sympathy from Gwynne. He was dealing with the memories of his past his way, which might not be the best way but it seemed to be working good enough.
Nathan's gaze was now fixed on the ground in front of him, hiding his further facial expressions from Gwynne. He didn't know what he was going to do. Would he fess up and tell Gwynne about his past? He was considering it, but later came to the decision that he wouldn't. Gwynne might have been his friend, but he wasn't going to let everything he had ever hidden slip, not for anyone. Finally Nathan responded to Gwynne's question his a slow shake of his head.
"I'm not answering that." He said and looked up from the ground, though avoiding Gwynne' s eye contact. He knew there would be a consequence, but frankly he didn't care. At that moment, he'd probably do just about anything other than tell about his past. All he could do was hope Gwynne wouldn't ask questions about his decision.

Gwynne blinked. And she thought that was an easy truth. She guessed something momentous happened that he didn't want her to know about. But, now she could give him a truth and a dare. Her expression went from blank to devilishly mischievous. At last, she could see what Nathan could do.
"Fine, but now you have to face it," she said. "A truth. And a dare." Her back straightened as she cracked her knuckles. "At last. Sweet, sweet revenge."
Then she began to think. What could she do? She couldn't make him kiss anybody, which wasn't good. But she could provoke something else to start. She decided to begin with the truth.
"Is your past so bad that you can't tell me anything?"

Nathan nodded when Gwynne told him that he'd have to do a both a truth and a dare. He knew it was going to be something bad, but it was better than telling Gwynne about his past. He would probably do anything rather than that.
Is your past so bad that you can't tell me anything? Nathan frowned. Gwynne had asked a question about it, which was what he was hoping she wouldn't do. But at least it wasn't..direct, Nathan could answer it easily without lying. He did think it was strange of her to waste a truth on something that was probably obvious though.
"Yes. To me it is anyway.." Nathan said, hoping she would leave it at that and move onto his dare.

"Okay," Gwynne shrugged and pondered her list of dares for Nathan. There were so many to choose from, but which would be the funniest to watch? Suddenly a new dare came to mind. Her lips twisted into what could be described as an evil smile. Nathan could get put in jail for this but...
She looked Nathan in the eye. "This isn't sexual, so you have to do it. Understand? You can't back out now." She got to her feet and pointed at the car in which she put the stickie note on the rear view mirror.
"See that car over there? The one beside the truck?" Gwynne's eyes lit with mischief. "I dare you to total it."

Nathan raised his eyebrows and turned to look at the car. That wasn't fair, he wasn't going to do something that would get him arrested, that would just be stupid.
"Gwynne, do you want me to get arrested?" Nathan said, turning back to her. "If I knew you were going to dare me to destroy somebody's car I would have dared you to rob a convenient store." In fact, if he knew she was going to dare him to do something illegal he wouldn't have agreed to play at all. Perhaps he was breaking the rule by refusing the dare, but that was too bad. There was no way Nathan was going to do that dare, but he definitely wouldn't tell Gwynne about his past ethier.

Gwynne frowned and pouted her lips. How unfair. She didn't intend on letting him off the hook though. The car was unlocked and old anyway. If it were a corvette, it would be another story. She voiced those two thoughts out loud then leaned back in her sitting position.
"If you don't wreck that hunk of junk, I'll subject you to two other dares." She narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms. "Deal?"

"If they wont get me in jail, sure." Nathan said looking at her. He could tell she was mad, or at least being stubborn. Of course, he wasn't one to talk, he was being very stubborn at the moment. "But, they also must follow the rules, nothing sexual."
Nathan knew he was being unfair, but he wasn't going to let Gwynne pressure him into doing something he strongly didn't believe in, he was smarter than that. He was surprised she had given in though, slightly anyway. Nathan would have guessed her to be more strongly willed, but perhaps she was just trying to avoid a fight, ethier way, he was glad.

Gwynne brightened immediately. This was going to be good. Nathan's own stubbornness had brought him to his doom. Metaphorically speaking. He was probably about to wish he had chosen to total the car. Though the two dares she chose weren't going to get him arrested, she couldn't save him from a few bruises.
"See that big burly guy over there?" she said, pointing at a guy in a t-shirt with a ripped body. "Muscleman? Yeah, I dare you to go over there and tell him that he's gay. Homosexual. Be sure to give him the definition too. Finish that, and I'll give you your second dare."

Nathan blinked. He had to give Gwynne credit, that wasn't against the law and it wasn't sexual, but it was probably going to get him beat up. That wasn't all that scary to Nathan, it wouldn't be his first time getting into a fight, although he wouldn't fight back this time, that wouldn't be fair.
"Alright. But if that guy knocks me out you're the one who will have to drag me to the hospital." Nathan said, and with that he stood up and made his way over to where the large guy was standing.
Nathan told him he was gay, and defined it like Gwynne had told him to. Instantly, the guy threw a punch that hit Nathan in the stomach, hard. Then he took him by the shoulders, throwing him against the wall of the school and walked away. Nathan was leaning against the wall, his arms were wrapped tightly around his midsection. He was in pain, but still, fortunately conscious. After a moment he pushed himself away from the wall and walked back over to Gwynne.Nathan sat back down beside her and flicked her in the side of her head.
"Meanie." He said, pouting. He wasn't mad at her, he had acctually been expecting something worse. But then again, he still had one more dare to do.

If she were a cat, Gwynne would have been purring. Instead she settled for a bright smile and a sound of evil satisfaction. Now for the next dare. This was going to be funny. If Nathan did it right, anyway. She pointed at Nathan, face going blank except for her slightly pouted lips.
"Now, if you can still do it with your internal bleeding," she began. "I dare you to go onto the next bus that comes to that bus stop," she gestured to it flamboyantly, "and go inside, where you shall not dispense your money, but go down the aisle and tap dance. If you want you can sing too."
Gwynne got to her feet. "And I shall follow and watch you." Her face broke into a wide smile full of fake innocence.

Nathan blinked. Gwynne was going to pay for this, even if she decided not to pick a dare, he knew a truth that she'd quite possibly refuse to tell, or even if she did tell him, it would be just as good. Nathan watched as Gwynne stood up and rose to his feet as well.
"Okay." Nathan said, unemotionally. He wouldn't refuse to do this one, he had been difficult enough today. Attempting a tap dance was nothing compared to smashing up a random car or letting his secrets spill. More embarrassing, yes. But Nathan would get over it. He walked to the bus stop expecting Gwynne to follow.
After a few minutes, a bus pulled up and stopped, it's door opening. Nathan entered the bus, again expecting Gwynne to follow and walked down the aisle of the bus and stopped. He moved his feet as inconspicuously as possible, making it look like he was merely shuffling his feet rather than a tap dance. Gwynne hadn't said anything about how obvious to make his "dance" so he decided to do it his own way. She also didn't mention how long to make it, Nathan only did this for a few seconds, making it look as natural as possible. When he was finished, he got out of the bus. He was sure he probably got a few heads to turn, randomly getting on a bus then off, but he wasn't really paying attention, but etheir way, he had done Gwynne's dare, and it was now her turn.

Gwynne did follow him. She raised her eyebrow at his little foot shuffle and rolled her eyes as she got off after him, ignoring the irritated look of the bus driver. Once out, she rounded on Nathan, hands on her hips and her expression skeptical.
"That's wasn't a tap dance. Though you still looked stupid, that so did not count."
She stuck her tongue out at him and bunched her lips to the side. He took a loophole, but it wasn't a dance. If he ever went to a semi-formal with a dance like that, no wonder he was a loner. Inwardly she was disappointed with his lack of enthusiasm. She vowed mentally that he would definitely regret not doing a full out tap dance, if he didn't redo the dare now.

Nathan smiled innocently, and watched the bus drive away. It was too late now, whether she wanted him to redo the dare or not. Unless he waited for the never bus, which he definitely wouldn't do, that would just slow the game down. He looked at Gwynne.
"Of course it was. Just not a..good dance. It did count." He said simply. "And besides, you can't expect me to do a hue dance number after that huge guy injuring me internally. But anyway, moving on. It's your turn. Truth or dare?" Nathan would get his revenge, whichever option she did pick. He looked at Gwynne with a raises eyebrow and waited for her answer.

Gwynne pouted. How mean! If she felt stubborn she could just force Nathan into waiting for the next bus.. but she didn't feel like it at the moment. She crossed a strip of grass, heading back to the tree they were originally at. Assuming Nathan followed her, she turned and looked at him.
"Truth."
She didn't feel quite like giving Nathan his revenge by making her run out into the street and getting hit by a tow truck. Nah, she decided to play it cool for this round and see how things went from there. She never particularly liked truths, as they dulled the game a bit, but whatever. She did it to save a few bones.

Nathan followed behind Gwynne, back to the tree and the patch of grass. He was glad she let the dare go, perhaps she was less stubborn than what he had thought, which was good, he could use that to his advantage. He looked at her as she turned to him. She had picked truth, he wasn't surprised.
"Okay.." Nathan said. He wished she had picked dare, his revenge would have been easier, but truth was alright too, he knew a question she wouldn't be very fond of. "Why did you really leave in such a hurry when we were at Pop's a fe days ago?" He raised an eyebrow. He could tell she was lying when she told him she had an appointment, it was quite obvious. He was curious about it, but was half expecting her to not answer the question.
